The Quest for Zerzura
Rick Montana and company are back in The Quest for Zerzura, Book 2 in the Light of Shambhala duology. It's 1942, two years after the events in The Goddess of Kunlun, and World War II is in full swing. Rick and Ace are volunteer pilots in the Civil Air Patrol. A chance encounter with a German U-boat off the shores of America sets them off on the continuation of the adventure that had begun in Tibet. Their quests for Atah Lahn (Atlantis) and the Lost Oasis of Zerzura will take them from the Caribbean to Europe, and finally into the North Africa Campaign, as they try to keep Pandora, the ultimate weapon of mass destruction, out of the hands of the Nazis, all the while seeking the Shambhala Book of Light. But there is another faction who are not convinced that the Book is the great hope for mankind that it purports to be, and they will stop at nothing to keep it from being found. |

Falling to Eden
In September 1941, there were places still untouched by time, where a man could believe in miracles, if only he were willing . . . Set in the jungles of Borneo in a time when there were still blank spots on the map, Falling to Eden is a tale not only of adventure, but of self-discovery. It is about overcoming adversity, learning to love again after a great loss, and more importantly, learning to live again. When their plane crashes on a remote river, adventure novelist Dane McKenna, oil heiress Violet Delacroix and her son must make their way to safety, complicated by Dane's polio, his lingering grief over his late wife, and Violet's memories of an abusive husband. In a wild, unknown land, Dane is suddenly forced to live one of the adventures he's only written about before. Braving not only the country's dangers, but their own inner demons, their voyage becomes an inner journey as well as a physical one, as each comes to grips with their pasts and contemplates their futures. |
